Kerry Madden brings 35 years of operational and production experience in the theatrical industry to Stages Consultants. Kerry served as Vice President of Concert Halls and Operations at Lincoln Center from 2006 to 2011. As a member of the senior management team of Lincoln Center, Kerry's responsibilities included the overall operational management of the 16-acre Lincoln Center campus, including: Avery Fisher and Alice Tully Halls, the Central Mechanical Plant, The Rose Building, public spaces, security, capital projects and garage operations. As the primary constituent liaison with all of the resident companies on the Lincoln Center campus, Kerry ensured that the facilities operations and general services, campus wide, met the highest standards.
During Lincoln Center's major campus redevelopment, Kerry was responsible for coordinating redevelopment efforts with ongoing performance and operational missions. The redevelopment included the reconstruction of renowned Alice Tully Hall and the Juilliard School, a new restaurant, the public plaza redesign, the Harmony Atrium build-out, the new Revson Fountain and other redevelopment projects.
Kerry served as the Vice President of Operations at the Orange County Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa, CA, from 1989 to 2006. The Segerstrom Center for the Arts with its 3,000-seat opera house is a major venue for Opera, Dance, Broadway Musicals and Classical Music. Kerry's responsibilities included directing daily operations of The Center in the areas of production, stagehands, ushers, food and beverage operations, building engineering, maintenance, housekeeping and security.
Additionally, he was the lead spokesperson for Collective Bargaining Agreements, was responsible for all departmental budgets and developed annual recommendations for capital improvements for the board's Facility Committee.
In 1996, Kerry was appointed to role of OCPAC Project Director and was responsible for project coordination for the 2,000-seat concert hall, 500-seat music theater, the Patina restaurant and bar, a 200-seat education center and a pedestrian plaza project. The Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall opened to excellent architectural and acoustic reviews.
