Micah Rahn has 23 years of lighting system and technical theatre experience. Micah brings a unique understanding of entertainment and architectural controls systems, theatrical power systems, integration, architectural coordination, and construction.
Significant projects with Stages include the newly opened Capital One Hall in Tysons, VA; Peace Center in Greenville, SC; Capitol Theatre in Flint, MI; Colonial Theatre in Keene, NH; high school performing arts centers in Camden, NJ; Celina, OH; Hackensack, NJ; Kenton, OH; Middletown, DE; Millburn, NJ; Newark, NJ; Perth Amboy, NJ; Etna, OH; McKinney, TX; and Trenton, NJ; and university performing arts centers at Compton Community College, Grant MacEwan University, Rollins College, University of Central Florida, the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music, University of Dayton, Sinclair Community College, and the University of Miami.
Prior to joining Stages Consultants, Micah consulted with Fisher Dachs Associates. Notable projects included Maison Symphonique de Montréal; Claire Tow Theatre, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts; The Charleston Gaillard Center, Charleston, SC, FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre, St. Catharines, ON; Granoff Center, Brown University; Marquee Las Vegas, Cosmopolitan Resort; Voxman Music Building, University of Iowa; Visual and Performing Arts Center, Western Connecticut State University.
Micah previously worked for a leading manufacturer of theatrical dimming and controls equipment. Notable clients included the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, ESPN, Carnegie Hall, The Newseum, Studio 54, The Weather Channel, and well as numerous designers and technicians on Broadway, Off-Broadway, television studios, and motion picture studios.
Micah received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Design and Technology, with an emphasis in Art History, from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
