SUNY Westchester

Westchester County bought the 360-acre John Hartford estate in Valhalla and designated 218 acres for its community college. The Academic Arts Building was erected in 1981 and was later named for its longest serving college president, Joseph Hankin. The Hankin Building includes a 394-seat theatre, exhibition space and studios. Stages is providing theatre planning services for the Academic Arts Infrastructure Improvement project, which includes the replacement of the overstage rigging system. This project is in design.
