The Whiting is a performing arts venue located on the Flint Cultural Campus. The Whiting is home to the Flint Symphony Orchestra, Annual Holiday Pops, and hosts performing artists from around the world in music, theatre and dance, as well as serving as a locale for graduations, recitals and other events. The Whiting recently hosted a 2016 Democratic Presidential Primary Debate.
Stages completed a needs assessment study for The Whiting in 2015, and a concept design study in 2017 with KPMB Architects to plan a multi-phased renovation to include a new studio theatre, expanded backstage and public amenity spaces.
