Stages worked with Mills + Schnoering Architects and The State Theatre to study increasing the operational capacity of their historic 1,800-seat theatre. The scope included renovating and expanding the stagehouse, upgrading its technical systems, adding an orchestra pit and improving the hall's front of house accommodations by improving accessibility and concessions. The expansion of the facility may include a new 150-seat studio theatre, and rehearsal facilities for the American Ballet Theatre. This project completed design development and went on hold.
