Anna Carhart
Anna Carhart brings more than two decades of operational and technical leadership in the performing arts. Before joining Stages, she served for over nine years as Director of Theater Operations at New Jersey City University, overseeing the university’s 1,000-seat Margaret Williams Theatre and the black box West Side Theatre. There, she managed day-to-day operations and led multidisciplinary technical and front-of-house teams.
Throughout her career, Anna has successfully guided capital improvements, including lighting, audio, rigging, and facility modernization projects, while building sustainable venue operations and rental programs. Her firsthand understanding of how performance venues function, from strategic planning and budgeting to staffing and technical systems, gives her a practical perspective that helps clients create facilities that are both artistically inspiring and operationally successful.
Anna has enjoyed a successful career as a production manager and lighting designer, collaborating with organizations including Lincoln Center, the New York Philharmonic, the 92nd Street Y, Joe’s Pub at The Public Theater, and numerous international touring dance and music productions. With her background operating and improving performing arts venues, Anna brings real-world operational experience to help clients create spaces that serve their communities for decades to come.
