PROJECT DETAIL
The historic 843-seat Music Hall was built in 1885 by chocolate manufacturer William Wallace and de-signed by noted architects Theodore De Lemos and August Cordes. The Music Hall was one of the first theatres to show silent films in the United States in 1901. Today, the Music Hall has a full-time staff, 60 freelancers, over 200 volunteers, and is a cultural destination for the best in music, theater, dance, and film. In 2013, Stages completed a study to review the Hall’s fire protection system, and to make recom-mendations for the safe use of smoke and pyrotechnical effects. In 2019, Stages provided theatre planning services for the design and installation of a new houselighting control system. In 2022, Stages worked with Mills + Schnoering Architects in developing a masterplan for the facility.
