PROJECT DETAIL
The residents of Odessa voted with a 96% margin to move forward with the renovation and expansion of Louis L. Redding Middle School, a 70-year-old public school with every major mechanical system having exceeded its lifespan. Opened in 1952, the school was named for Redding, a pioneering civil rights lawyer with a groundbreaking career in challenging racial discrimination. In the years before desegregation, Redding Middle School served as the school of record for any child of color living in the area. Stages’ theatre planning scope includes renovating the existing, free-standing 500-seat auditorium. This project is under construction.
