A grant from the Knight Foundation enabled the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami to move forward with the final design and construction of this $26M project, envisioned as the recital hall of the future. The recital hall, which seats 200, hosts live acoustic and recorded music presentations, live streaming, and other high-tech events. The two-story building consists of four main components, including a recital hall space with orchestra, stage and parterre, a rehearsal hall space, practice rooms, lobbies, offices concessions and storage spaces. This state-of-the-art building features sound recording booths, performance spaces and projection technology in the structure’s exterior. Stages’ scope included theatre planning and systems design for the recital hall and support spaces as well as a flexible rehearsal and performance hall which seats up to 250. This project opened in the fall of 2023.
