The Joyce is one of the only theatres built specifically for dance. Since 1982, The Joyce has offered an annual 45 to 48-week season which includes over 400 domestic and international dance companies per year. The Joyce was formerly the Elgin Theater, a 1941 movie house, it was preserved and renovated by architect Hugh Hardy to serve the needs of small and medium dance companies.

Stages is excited to work with H3 Hardy Collaboration, providing acoustics design throughout the building. This project is in design.
