The Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra, established in 1927 as an amateur orchestra, has evolved into a professional ensemble comprising 10 core members and up to 50 sessional musicians. The SSO annually delivers a diverse array of concerts across various series and special events. Presently, the SSO showcases its performances at TCU Place.
In 2024, Stages Consultants was engaged by the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra to embark on the pre-design phase of the development of a new music centre. This innovative facility is set to feature two performance spaces: a grand 1,200-seat orchestra hall and an intimate 400-seat performance hall. Additionally, the music centre will have professional orchestra support spaces and a music education center. Stages’ scope includes theatre planning, acoustics, and audio-visual design. We are dedicated to shaping a vibrant and dynamic musical hub for the SSO.
