Jacoby Symphony Hall was modeled after the Wiener Musikverein in Austria. It is shoebox-shaped, seats 1,797, and is the dedicated concert hall for the Jacksonville Symphony. Stages conducted an in-depth acoustics study which evaluated the current acoustical conditions and engaged with symphony members and project stakeholders to understand the unique needs of the space and identify areas for improvement. The study was completed in early 2024, and renovations began during the Symphony’s off-season. Stages’ scope included seating, accessibility upgrades, as well as acoustic enhancements.
