The Grand Theatre is a professional theatre in London, ON. The building itself dates to 1901 and has been home to several companies including the Famous Players in the 1920s and the London Little Theatre Company, Canada’s largest and most successful amateur theatre company in the 1940s. It was last renovated in 1978. Stages’ scope included working with Tillman Ruth Robinson Architects to develop a concept design to renovate the Grand Theatre. Our primary goals included a functional improvement and decorative refresh of the entry, public areas, concessions and VIP spaces, technical upgrades and a decorative refresh of the McManus Stage, a 150-seat black box theatre, and technical systems upgrades to the Spriet Stage, an 839-seat proscenium theatre.
