Damian served as the acoustics design consultant for the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. His first involvement with the project dates back to 1995, when he was part of a team that helped Mayor Glenda Hood’s administration investigate options for the Performing Arts Center. Later in 2007, as a partner with Artec, he joined the design team as an acoustics consultant for the new facility.
Phase 1 featured a 2,700-seat amplified hall, the Walt Disney Theatre, for Broadway musicals and multi-genre concerts as well as a 300-seat venue, The Alexis Pugh Theatre, for smaller shows and events.
Steinmetz Hall is really one of the best concert halls in the world. We really enjoyed performing with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in a magnificently-sounding hall.”
