The Sarasota Players is a community theatre founded in 1929. The Players have performed in several venues over its history and is pleased to expand the Auditorium at Payne Park to create a performing arts incubator for the Players and other local performing arts organizations. The Stage will be a flexible theatre with seating up to 300 in a variety of configurations and include a black box theatre that can be used as a rehearsal hall and a second rehearsal hall that can be used as a patron’s lounge. The multi-form space will be designed to host a variety of events and performances from dance and cabaret, to fully produced dramatic theater and musical theatre productions. Stages’ scope includes theatre planning and acoustics design. This project is in design.
