PROJECT DETAIL
Stages is providing theatre planning, acoustics and audio-visual systems design services for the new construction of the Center for Music, Dance, and Theatre at New Jersey City University in Jersey City, NJ. The scope of work includes a 500-seat proscenium theatre, a 100-seat recital hall, music rehearsal rooms and a recording studio, as well as a full complement of support spaces. Two of the three dance studios can be combined to provide a 300-seat performance space for dance productions. Stages is joining the design team in design development and outlined and executed a process to quickly catch up with the design team and provide needed programming and engineering criteria. Among the goals of the building is to provide a home for a partnership with the Joffrey Ballet which will be in residence and partner with NJCU in offering a BFA in Dance.
