The Gamm Theatre is an award-winning professional theatre company in Rhode Island. The Gamm’s existing facilities were in a repurposed armory in Pawtucket and were insufficient. They were able to secure the long-term lease of a 460-seat proscenium theatre with support spaces in Warwick, however, proscenium style productions were not in their vernacular. Stages’ scope of work included helping The Gamm to envision its new home in the former Ocean State Theatre and helping them to develop a plan for phased renovation to improve the theatre’s support and educational spaces. Stages provided theatre planning and acoustics services. The Gamm began performing in their new home in late 2018.
