PROJECT DETAIL
The Firehall Arts Centre, built in 1906, served as a fire station until 1975. The Centre hosts over 200 performances per year, and produces a season of eclectic theatre, dance and visual arts exhibitions. Stages, working with Revery Architecture, completed a needs assessment and concept design study to identify areas for improvement in order to prepare the Firehall for the future, which included four key drivers: accessibility, patron, staff and performer comfort, performance venue enhancement and venue viability. Stages’ scope included theatre planning and acoustics.
