PROJECT DETAIL
The Canton Palace Theatre opened in 1926 and was designed by John Eberson. The Palace seeks to recreate a Spanish courtyard on a midsummer night. The building was closed for a period, and reopened in 1980, and the restoration of the theatre has been ongoing since. The theatre’s original Kilgen Wonder Organ is still used to accompany silent films. A vital multipurpose entertainment facility, the Palace hosts over 300 events per year. Stages’ scope includes theatre planning, acoustics, and audio-visual design. This project is in design.
