PROJECT DETAIL
Bellevue Hospital complex was originally constructed in 1931. In 1998, the 9-story building was repurposed as a citywide homeless intake center and men’s shelter. The auditorium will be completely renovated and the two floors below it will be repurposed into back of house and public spaces for the theatre. The auditorium will be used for meetings, education, and theatrical programming by community groups, the public and the shelter. Stages’ scope for this project includes theatre planning, acoustics, and audio-visual design for the facility. This project is awaiting funding.
