Andrew McCracken
Andrew McCracken recently joined Stages as a Theatre Consultant, where he supports theatre planning and design for performing arts, educational, and cultural facilities. A graduate of Oberlin College and Conservatory, Andrew holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and French. He brings a multidisciplinary perspective shaped by experience in theatrical design, live production, and venue planning.
Prior to joining Stages, Andrew built a diverse portfolio as a lighting designer and technical director. He served on more than a dozen artistic teams and designed lighting for nationally touring artists.
Andrew participated in the USITT/ASTC Venue Renovation Challenge, where he and his teammates earned the USITT Director’s Award in 2023 and the Edgar L. Lustig Award in 2025. His success in the competition led to an internship with Stages and ultimately a full-time role with us following graduation.
At Stages, Andrew applies his broad technical background and collaborative approach to create performance spaces that are flexible, intuitive, and responsive to the needs of artists, educators, technicians, and audiences.
