Alec was called by the Martha’s Vineyard Playhouse to consult on a small renovation to their theatre. However, their aspirations were higher and a more complete re-imagining of the way their building worked was in order. We designed a new theatre for them within the old theatre’s volume while collaborating with the architect to reorganize the building’s circulation and public spaces. The Playhouse reopened for its summer season in June 2014.
