Filling Pembroke Pines’ need for a downtown city center, the civic center opened in April 2017. The modern, four-story, flexible use structure hosts plays, conferences, small concerts and other performances. Stages, working alongside Cartaya and Associates, designed the main hall that seats 3,000 and will accommodate smaller events using flexible seating. Pembroke Pines City Center won the Best Public/Civic Category for the South Florida Business Journal’s 2016 Structures Awards.
