The Peace Center, which opened in 1990, hosts over 300 events per year, including classical music, dance, live music, and touring Broadway performances. It is home to several companies in residence – the Greenville Symphony Orchestra, the Carolina Ballet Theatre, the South Carolina Children’s theatre, Greenville Corale and International Ballet, among others. One of Stages’ scope included the design of house and work lights upgrades for the 2,100-seat concert hall and performance, house and work lighting upgrades for the 300-seat Gunter Theatre. Stages worked with the Peace Center on several upgrade paths for their facilities, operations and systems including the renovation of the Wyche Pavilion, a new audio system for the Concert Hall, studies for the Roe Coach Factory, Markley and Gullick Buildings.
Stages possesses a comprehensive knowledge of emerging technologies, industry best practices, and the latest theatrical and acoustical design principles. This expertise coupled with their connections within the industry have given the Peace Center ongoing access to a wealth of resources.”
