Civic Theatre of Allentown

The Civic Theatre of Allentown produces high quality community theatre productions, presents films, and provides Lehigh Valley’s youth with a well-established theatre education program. Stages, along with Mills + Schnoering Architects, studied and assessed the historic 19th Street Theatre’s need for upgrades, modernization, and improvements. Phased renovations included a new ceiling, and interior renovation including the restoration of the ornate frescoes which once adorned the auditorium walls, new seats, and stage equipment, all to return the theatre to its Art Deco splendor. The Civic opened for its 2018 season in October.
