Sean Lough comes to Stages as the Director of Business Development with two decades of strategic marketing and business development experience and a diverse background in the performing arts. He focuses on strengthening and building the firm’s engagement strategies with national and international industry partners and identifying and attaining project opportunities.

Prior to Stages, Sean was a business development director at The Wall Street Journal & Dow Jones International, where he created programs for Fortune 500 companies worldwide. For eight years, he oversaw content marketing initiatives for the B2B and B2C divisions of the Royal Bank of Canada. He’s worked with global brands like Lane Construction-Webuild S.p.A., Bacardi, and Ente nazionale idrocarburi.

Sean’s passion for well-planned and designed arts spaces is deeply personal and professional. Joining the Actors’ Equity Association at a young age, he performed across the U.S. and Canada for more than two decades. Sean also serves on the Board of Trustees for the CDC Theatre, the oldest community theatre company in New Jersey. Sean was as an instructor of marketing and business communications at NYU, and received a Bachelor of English Composition (cum laude) with an emphasis in Music from Loyola University of New Orleans.
