PROJECT DETAIL
The Overture Center is a state-of-the-art performing arts center that opened in 2004, and was designed by Cesar Pelli. It has three main performance spaces: Overture Hall, a 2,255-seat acoustic hall, the Capitol Theatre, 1,089-seat theatre, and the Playhouse, with 347 seats, and four smaller assembly areas. It is home to the Madison Symphony Orchestra, Madison Opera and Madison Ballet, the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra and the CTM Madison Family Theatre. Stages’ is performing a technical systems and acoustic assessment of the entire complex, reviewing their programming, operational, and technical needs. Stages will provide a master plan report providing prioritized recommendations for maintenance, improvement, or replacement for each system. Stages is providing theatre planning, acoustic and audio-visual systems consulting for this study.
