Alec led a charette with Miami School of Architecture’s Center for Urban and Community Design with a mission to identify design strategies to reestablish this cultural anchor while respecting the history and ambiance of building. Three sessions were held to envision the Coconut Grove Playhouse and its adjoining land as a cohesive, state-of-the-art complex rivaling the nation’s preeminent regional theatres.
